So where we last left off I was going to take an off day Thursday to recover from the Picket Post ride.  It truly destroyed me. I became ill on Thursday, started coughing, then coughing phlegm, then fever and body chills.  So I didn’t ride Friday either except for a 1 hour road ride up to Enterprise where I had turned in my rental to look for my cell phone.  I was in bed Friday afternoon with a cold rag on my burning head and body chills elsewhere.  I showered and went to a dinner get together at our friends Jeff and Nancy’s house way out on the edge of Scottsdale in the foothills, about a 40 minute drive but still within Scottsdale extensive boundaries.

I recovered well enough to join the 2 hour drive up to Sedona for the Saturday ride.  We talked Jeff and Nancy into joining us and they had some great local knowledge for our trail loop.  It was a great ride.  With 2 recovery days under my belt I had enough energy to keep up pretty well.

That said the Sedona ride set back my full recovery a little and it was best not to go on today’s last ride to Cave Creek.  I will probably easy ride for an hour or two on blacktop, up to Enterprise again where I am nearly certain my phone was stolen from the shuttle van and then to the Verizon store. To say the least, I have no more photos.

Included here is a forward of a few pictures taken by Jeff on yesterday’s ride.  He had some camera problems and my picture is not there so just imagine the guy in the first picture is me.  The group photos are from the Picket Post ride where we stopped to take on water.
